Al palato si presenta di ottima struttura, vellutato e piacevolmente equilibrato.Questo Toscana IGT "Belvento" di Petra nasce da uve ciliegiolo in purezza; stando ad alcune ricostruzioni, pare che questa varietà si sia diffusa nel centro Italia, partendo dalla Toscana, grazie ai pellegrini di ritorno dal Santuario di Santiago di Compostela, anche se altri la ritengono autoctona e geneticamente legata al sangiovese. Piacevolmente succoso, è un vino che, grazie ad una armonica acidità, risulta coinvolgente e di ottima beva.
Perfetto con i piatti del menu di terra, si sposa bene anche con i secondi di carne rossa.
