About the work
Reading Duchamp, draws directly from Bethan Huws' 2011 exhibition, Capelgwyn at the Whitechapel Gallery. It presents one of the wall texts displayed during the exhibition that are based on her ongoing research into the French idiomatic expressions found in the work of Marcel Duchamp. Through Huws' in-depth analysis, these texts offer a possible interpretation of his work, as well as an indirect way of gaining an understanding of her own practice.
